How our Cape Town day tours work
Choose roughly how many hours you need (4, 6, 8, or 10 and more), where we should collect you, and the places you'd like to visit. Your driver takes you from stop to stop, waits while you explore, and brings you back to your hotel or home at the end of the day.
Because it's private, the pace is yours: linger over lunch or spend longer on the beach. Private tours in Cape Town like these suit families, couples, friends and small groups who would rather not join a big coach.
A Cape Peninsula tour: Cape Point and Boulders Beach
The Cape Peninsula tour is the classic full day out. Head along the Atlantic side past Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles, over Chapman's Peak Drive to Noordhoek, and down to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope.
On the way back along False Bay, stop at Boulders Beach in Simon's Town to see the African penguins, and perhaps have lunch in Simon's Town or Kalk Bay. A Cape Point and Boulders Beach day trip needs a full day to enjoy properly.
Table Mountain, the Bo-Kaap and the city
For a shorter day, stay close to town. We drop you at the lower cableway station or the start of your hike up Table Mountain, and fetch you after. Then carry on to the colourful houses and cobbled streets of the Bo-Kaap, the gardens at Kirstenbosch or the V&A Waterfront.
The weather on the mountain changes quickly and the cableway closes in strong wind, so it helps to keep a city day flexible. Tell us your first choice and a back-up when you ask for a quote.
A Winelands tour: Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl
With a driver for the day, nobody in your group has to be the designated driver. Choose the estates or towns you'd like to visit in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek or Paarl, and we'll take you between them and back again.
Further afield: the West Coast and Hermanus
A West Coast day trip to Langebaan brings you to a turquoise lagoon, long open beaches and the West Coast National Park, where the wild flowers put on a show in spring.
To the east, a Hermanus whale watching day trip is best in the season, roughly June to November, when southern right whales come close to the cliffs. You watch them from the shore along the cliff path.

Travelling with children
The penguins at Boulders Beach and the canopy walkway at Kirstenbosch are hits with young ones, and a private vehicle means you can stop when somebody needs a break. If you need child seats, ask on the quote form and we'll tell you what we can arrange.
Planning your day
List your stops in the Places you'd like to visit box on the quote form. Want to combine a tour with an airport pick-up and dinners over a few days? Choose Several trips and add each one in order, starting with your arrival at Cape Town International Airport.
Our vehicles carry 7 to 23 passengers, with aircon, WiFi and phone charging on board, so a couple and a family reunion can both travel together. See the fleet, or read about bus hire for bigger parties.
